How do I access the member only section?

There is a link on the top right corner of the page titled "Member Sign In". You need to click the link and a popup will appear asking you for the username and password. Once you enter your username and password click the login button.

Do I need to call the office for my hiring rank number?

No. A member's hiring rank number is available in the member only section.

I signed up for training but never got called. How come?

When we post a training event we get a lot of calls and emails. Training seats are limited and are assigned on a first come first served basis. Only the members attending the course will be contacted.

How much are dues?

For Non-Working Members, the local portion is $4.00 (CAD) for 2016 and the international portion is $34.00 (CAD). If you are working through Local 1620, the local portion is $25.30 (CAD)

If I miss my dues payment what will happen?

  • Miss between 1 and 3 months-no penalty
  • After 3 months and less than 6 months - pay $30 late fee
  • After 6 months - need to rejoin.

I haven't paid my dues in over 6 months, will I loose my hiring rank number?

If you do not pay your dues in over 6 months you will need to rejoin as a new member and that date will be used as your initiation date. This means you will loose your current rank and go to bottom of the list.

How can I pay my dues?

We accept VISA , Mastercard, cheque, post-dated cheque, and cash. Pay by calling the office, dropping in, or mail in. (Soon you will be able to pay online).

What are some tips when applying for a job on the JobLine?

  • Log into the Member section to apply online.
  • Make sure you are paid up on your dues.
  • Make sure your certifications are not expired.
  • Make sure you speak clearly on the phone when leaving your name & phone number.
